Erik Peters artistic practice focuses on sound and listening through musical composition, audiovisual works, and sound installations, with an emphasis on the experiential relation between acoustic and mediated sound, articulated in physical space, often in close collaboration with musicians and in interdisciplinary contexts with artists from other fields.

He has been commissioned to compose chamber and electroacoustic music and have participated in research projects within and beyond academia. His work has been presented at international festivals, broadcast on Swedish and international radio, and released on several record labels.

The impact of Eriks artistic practice includes contributions to accessibility for people with visual impairment, as well as projects engaging with environmental awareness in local community contexts. He has created music for young musicians and collaborated with a commercial enterprise focused on the design of original musical instruments. Through his teaching, Erik has also worked closely with emerging composers at different stages of their artistic development.
